Something that is a great idea is using art and statues to help increase the appeal of your garden. You'll notice that it will not only add some whimsical appeal to the garden, but it will also take you up a step in class. There are a lot of ways to use garden statues in the dcor of the landscape; however, you'll want to consider using the garden ornaments or statues to tastefully accentuate the overall appeal of the home.

Keep in mind that you'll be able to draw visitors into the garden when you learn how to place the statues in the garden well. You'll need to consider creating beauty, rather then just cluttering the gardens.

You will need to use a few, but not have too many. There is a point where you go from flashy to trashy. You don't want to ever bring your garden to the trashy side of things. You'll find that the statues can promote things like serenity and even masculinity. You'll want to ask yourself what it is that you are looking for in the statue, before you make any decisions.

First, you'll find that there are so many different types of statues, but everyone always thinks about the nude models posing ridiculously. There is a time and place for everything, and you want to make sure that your garden art is tasteful and also that it's not that revealing or disturbing.

Keep in mind that your neighbors may end up having a problem facing a statue of a naked man's backside every morning. You'll want to make sure that the way you use the statues is tasteful too. You don't want to have a revealing birdbath that would almost seem obscene. The point is to consider what you think is art and take inconsideration that your neighbors may have a different type of standard for art.

Keep in mind that the materials that you use in the statue will make a difference too. You don't want to get something that looks like a cheap replica, however, you'll notice that there are many different types of materials used in statues that will make a difference in price. You have options like stone (really expensive), cast-stone (cheaper), concrete (even more cheaper), iron and steel, copper, bronze (all very expensive), lead, terracotta, ceramic, and glass.

Keep in mind that lead, terracotta, ceramic and glass are very fragile and can be easily broken. Some of these materials will falter with just a slight frost. You'll need to make sure that you consider the look that you are going for, as well as, some of the options that you would like to include in the design of your landscape.
